The Penworthy Company

Challenge: Penworthy wanted a bold, memorable logo for their Stay Sharp initiative that would engage their audience while staying true to the brand’s identity.

Approach: I developed the entire logo from concept to final execution, exploring typography, iconography, and color palettes that struck the right balance between playful and professional. My process included sketching, digital refinement, and preparing versatile assets that could scale across formats.

Solution: The final logo delivers clarity and energy while maintaining flexibility. It works seamlessly across marketing materials, digital platforms, and large-format graphics, giving Penworthy a strong visual anchor for the Stay Sharp campaign.

Modern Maki

Challenge: The client already had a logo but needed a full brand identity system to bring their vision to life. They wanted a cohesive look and feel that would make the truck stand out, appeal to customers, and translate across menus, packaging, and marketing materials.

Approach: I built a brand toolkit around the existing logo, developing color palettes, typography, patterns, and supporting graphics that reflected the playful yet refined spirit of the brand. I also designed layouts for menus, signage, and digital applications, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.

Solution: The final branding gave the sushi truck a strong, memorable identity that elevated the logo and tied the whole customer experience together. With bold visuals and a clear design system, the brand feels professional, approachable, and instantly recognizable.

They also asked me to make a version for Pride Month so of course I had to.

PrideFest Milwaukee 30th Anniversary

For PrideFest Milwaukee’s 30th anniversary, I developed multiple campaign directions that celebrated resilience, unity, and visibility within the LGBTQIA+ community.

Concept 1: Circles of Unity
Bright, overlapping circular forms and rainbow gradients represented inclusivity and connection. This direction aimed to highlight togetherness and optimism during a challenging cultural moment, celebrating the diversity of the community through color and form.

Concept 2: Thirty Years of Triumph
Guided by the client’s vision, this concept emphasized strength and activism through interlocked raised hands, intentionally representing people of color within the LGBTQIA+ community. Set against Milwaukee’s skyline, it paid tribute to 30 years of triumph while honoring the struggles that paved the way.

While the final campaign took a different direction, these explorations reflect my process of developing concepts that balance client vision with symbolism, storytelling, and inclusivity.

Dragonfire Brewing Co.

Challenge: Create a fictional craft beer brand identity and packaging system that felt cohesive, memorable, and visually distinct on the shelf.

Approach: I developed Dragonfire Brewing Co. as a fantasy-inspired brand rooted in medieval storytelling. Each beer style was given its own illustrated emblem (from a knight and tree of life to a dragon and lion) designed as crest-like icons that reinforced the lore-driven concept. The six-pack packaging featured a dragon-scale texture and descriptive copy, tying the collection together under one cohesive brand narrative.

Solution: The final design system balanced playful worldbuilding with practical packaging design. By combining bold iconography, fantasy motifs, and a consistent typographic system, Dragonfire Brewing Co. created a strong visual identity that felt both collectible and craft-driven.

Padma Fragrance Packaging

Challenge: Create a perfume bottle and packaging system that conveyed luxury, cultural storytelling, and symbolic meaning while functioning as a market-ready product. The design needed to feel elegant and aspirational while standing apart from traditional perfume branding.

Approach: I designed Padma around the lotus flower, a symbol of purity, beauty, and rebirth. The packaging drew inspiration from South Asian architecture and motifs, incorporating ornate linework, gold foiling, and repeating patterns to add richness and depth. The lotus mark and soft pastel palette paired with metallic highlights created a balance of serenity and sophistication. A die-cut window on the front of the package framed the bottle like a temple archway, positioning the perfume as both product and artifact.

Solution: The final design combined symbolic storytelling with functional packaging. The ornate patterns, metallic accents, and lotus icon built a strong cultural identity, while the windowed box showcased the bottle as a centerpiece. Together, the system gave Padma a sense of elegance and mystique that aligned with the high-end fragrance market.

FrostCoder Visual Brand (Twitch Streamer)

Challenge: Develop a cohesive brand identity for FrostCoder, a Twitch streamer whose name blends coding culture with a cool, wintery theme. The brand needed to stand out in the crowded streaming space while remaining flexible across digital platforms, overlays, and merchandise.

Approach: I built the identity around the dual ideas of coding and frost. Curly braces { } represent coding syntax, framing the name while also serving as a recognizable symbol within developer culture. A snowflake-inspired icon doubles as a central brand mark, reinforcing the frosty theme while maintaining clean, geometric simplicity. The color palette combined icy blues with deep purples, supporting both a light “day mode” and bold “night mode” application. Additional playful elements, like a snowman built from coding symbols, extended the personality of the brand.

Solution: The final brand system gave FrostCoder a professional yet approachable visual identity that could scale across streaming overlays, social banners, and potential merchandise. With its balance of coding references and seasonal imagery, the brand reflects the streamer’s unique identity and stands out in the Twitch ecosystem.
